Loaded Carne Asada Fries

Prep time: 30 minutes Cook time: 30 minutes Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • 4 large Hollywood Fries potatoes, washed and cut into thick fries
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
Carne Asada
  • 1 pound flank steak
  • 1/4 cup fresh orange juice
  • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
Loaded Toppings
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1/4 cup diced red onion
  • 1/4 cup diced fresh tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup sliced jalapeños (optional for extra heat)
  • Lime wedges for garnish

Preparation

  • In a bowl, combine the fresh orange juice, fresh lime juice, minced garlic, chopped cilantro, olive oil, ground cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). In a large mixing bowl, toss the Hollywood Fries potatoes with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper until evenly coated. Spread the seasoned fries in a single layer on a baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until the fries are crispy and golden brown, flipping them halfway through.
  • Preheat your grill to high heat. Remove the marinated flank steak from the refrigerator and let it come to room temperature. Grill the steak for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or adjust the cooking time to your desired level of doneness. Remove the steak from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing it thinly against the grain.
  • Arrange the cooked Hollywood Fries on a large serving platter. Sprinkle the shredded Monterey Jack cheese evenly over the hot fries, allowing it to melt slightly. Layer the sliced carne asada over the cheese-covered fries.
  • Drizzle sour cream over the carne asada and fries. Sprinkle chopped cilantro, diced red onion, diced tomatoes, and sliced jalapeños (if using) over the top.
  • Garnish the loaded fries with lime wedges for an extra burst of flavor. Serve immediately while hot, and enjoy your delicious Loaded Carne Asada Hollywood Fries!
